Hybrid Solar System:
n Design and installation of street lights for public, parks, advertising bill boards etc
n Stand alone power system for remote houses.
n Grid connected power systems for homes and commercial establishments.
n Small utility power generation up to 10 Mw by HSS or fuel cell.
n Solar air conditioning for domestic and commercial applications.
n Solar air-conditioning for automobiles.
n Solar pumps for farming.
n Small transport applications such as bicycles/scooters using fuel cell.
n Co-generation (Combined Heat and Power applications) and Tri-generation (combined Heat, Cool and Power applications) using HSS or fuel cell.
Hybrid Solar System (HSS) is a system that generates power using solar energy in combination with other systems such as wind, solar, genset and fuel cell. The system is site specific and can be designed and engineered to get an optimum solution. HSS is environmentally friendly and reduces or completely eliminates green house gas emission.

The difference between a conventional solar system and HSS is as follows:

In a conventional solar system, the power is generated by PV (photo voltaic cells) only while sun shines, which is typically 4 -5 hrs a day (16% of a day) and the maximum efficiency of a commercially available solar panel is about 25-33%, resulting in a net conversion of less than 5% of light energy into electric energy. Moreover tracking of sun is necessary to absorb maximum sun light.

In HSS system fuel cell is installed in parallel to a solar panel and connected to a common battery which guarantees a designed power generation throughout the year, irrespective of the sun shines or not. In a gloomy or a rainy day when there is no power generation from the solar cell, a fuel cell is automatically activated, and supplies power to the system. Thus power is available 24 x 7 hrs and 365 days in a year.

A Fuel cell works just like a battery. In a battery, the electric energy is stored as a chemical energy and can be used as an electric energy as and when connected to an electrical appliance. In a fuel cell, an electric energy can be generated as and when required by simply connecting to a fuel source. The fuel source can be a hydrocarbon such as LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), natural gas (cooking gas), Hydrogen gas, or Alcohol. Such fuels can be produced by conversion of biomass waste such as plant waste, garbage or by electrolysis of water using renewable energy source such as solar, wind, geothermal or OTEC (Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion Systems).

Suitable hybrid system will be selected based on the solution provided.

We specialises in design, engineering and installation of HSS for domestic, commercial and industrial customers.
